Journaling Questions for Reflection
On Sunday we celebrated Christ, King of the Universe! This theme is woven throughout Mark 15.
"Are you the King of the Jews? (Mark 15:2)
And they clothed him in a purple cloak, and plaiting a crown of thorns they put it on him. And they began to salute him, "Hail, King of the Jews (Mark 15:17-18)!"
And it was the third hour, when they crucified him, And the inscription of the charge against him read, "The King of the Jews." And with him they crucified two robbers, one on his right and one on his left (Mark 15:25-27).
What does it mean for me to call Christ my King?
How would I describe Jesus?
Does "king" make the list?
How can Jesus be a humble carpenter, healer, priest, preacher, prophet, teacher, and king?
Where is Jesus' kingdom?
Where is Jesus on his throne? How is this different than what we would expect?
When have I felt like I have encountered the kingdom?
Day 15 Challenge:
Pray the sorrowful mysteries of the rosary today.
