The Resurrection of Jesus

Jesus Commissions the Disciples

The Ascension of Jesus

Journaling Questions for Reflection

Mary Magdalene, the other Mary, Salome, and two disciples on the road experienced the glory of Easter Sunday... they were not believed. Afterward he appeared to the Eleven themselves as they sat at table; and he upbraided them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen (Mark 16:14). Would I have believed? What are my feelings on the resurrection? What is Jesus trying to teach us through his victory over death? What would you have said to Jesus had you been there on Easter Sunday?

And he said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation. He who believes and is baptized will be saved (Mark 16:15-16). Do I believe that Jesus is speaking to me when He makes the Great Commission? Who needs to hear the Gospel message? Who first shared the Gospel with me? Call and thank them.

Day 16 Challenge:

Feeling like we don't have the right words, we often shy away from evangelizing. Evangelizing is as easy as sharing your story. Take some time to write your story. The more often we reflect on the simple and not so simple ways we have come to know Jesus, the better we will be able to articulate our experiences of His love and mercy!
